Today was the busiest and most nerve-wracking day of them all. I am so glad it’s finally over. But it was really fun and energetic, too. 🙂
So we got up at like 5:30 and went for breakfast at around 6:00. The bus took us to one of the schools in Vietnam, where the different events throughout the day would take place. We were in T36 Penguin, which meant that we were at the primary school and had our debates first.
The first event for everyone was the Scholar’s Challenge: it’s basically a multiple-choice test with really hard questions. But since this is the WSC, there’s a slight alpaca-twist: you know when you’re stuck between A and B and want to choose both but you can’t? Well in this test you can. You can pick more than one option, and you’ll get points if they’re right! Of course, you’ll get less points – but it’s better than nothing. Continue reading “WSC Vietnam (Day 4)”→
So today was AMAZING (I feel like I’m saying that for every day) because I met more hamiltrash??? Dear god I’m in love with this competition. So basically we had this opening ceremony in the morning which was really good and nice and Dan almost made me cry because he’s smol and sweet ™ and Burch is just plain pwaasome
It’s not technically day 2 yet, because it’s the same day and all, but deal with it.
Hello, people of the internet!
I have been surviving on 20 minutes of sleep for around 30 hours? I kept randomly slipping into a daze between real life and dreamland. It was kind of unnerving, but I think that I slightly enjoyed it? Except not really because I had such awesome dreams that ended abruptly on cliffhangers. (Aris’ brain: rickrolling viewers since 2004.)
Currently it’s 9pm and I’m alone in our hotel room, frantically writing this post. I’m supposed to be sleeping.
If you couldn’t tell from the header and title, I’m on a trip to Vietnam. Currently I’m at the Delhi airport, and from here we’re going to Bangkok, then Hanoi. The big question: what the hell am I doing here?
So remember that post from wayyy back in February when I said I was doing this competition thingy called the World Scholar’s Cup? Weellllll, we’re sort of going for the global round of this competition, which is held in Hanoi, Vietnam. I’m gonna be super busy for around 4 days, but I’ll still post a little something everyday – just a rundown of the events of the day. I mean you guys probably won’t be interested but this blog is like my journal – I love writing down everything I’ve done as a momento?? Is that weird???
