Review – Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Chat Noir

okay i know this post is late but it was my grandma’s funeral so

Hi internet people!

Another reason I didn’t post was because I was too busy binge-watching TV shows. One TV show in particular. Maybe you’ve heard of it; it was Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Chat Noir.

(epic name, no?)

So here’s an unbiased and completely honest (I’m not being sarcastic) review of the show.

My Summer TBR (or lack of one)

SUMMER IS HERE!

Hey-o, internet people! (lol idk)

So summer has officially arrived (like two weeks ago but whatever) and I have so much work to do. I need to study my arse off, update this blog for you guys, work on the script for our annual school production, do the summer holiday homework (CURSE YOU, SCHOOL!), and work on my almost non-existent novel.

So what am I gonna do?

I’m gonna read.

Riverdale: Review

hands up if you love cole sprouse

Hello, people of the internet!

So, Riverdale. CW has outdone itself yet again, with this amazing mystery/romance TV show, based on the ever-popular Archie’s comics.

Though the show itself has no relation to Archie’s, it has the same characters and setting. It follows Archie Andrews, an average teenage boy going to Riverdale High. He loves music, and is pretty awesome at guitar – and singing.

His best friend, Jughead Jones (played by COLE SPROUSE OH MY LORD), isn’t short of his own problems, either. I can’t really say much without giving stuff away – let’s just say that he has family issues.

His other best friend, Betty Cooper, starts off by having a hopeless crush on Archie. But she’s also an amazing journalist, and works hard to make the school newspaper – the Blue and Gold – a success.

And then Veronica Lodge, the daughter of the convict Hiram Lodge, moves into town. Being used to lavish mansions and luxuries, she takes some time settling in.

The show opens to the summer after the death of Jason Blossom, the son and heir of one of the most influential families in Riverdale. On the morning of the Fourth of July, Jason went for a boat ride with his sister Cheryl. Later on in the day, Dilton Doiley’s boy scouts found Cheryl sitting all by herself on a rock, by the river’s edge. The boat, and Jason Blossom, were nowhere to be seen.

It’s a highly mysterious show, with dark themes of violence, murder, and romance. I would recommend it to 14+ people, but then again, it depends on the person. I loved the show, even though it has zero relation to Archie’s comics.

If you watch it, comment below with what you think the next episode will show. If you want to start watching it, comment below with your first reaction of the show. I wanna hear what you guys think!

World Scholar’s Cup 2k17

Today was the best day ever.

Hello, people of the internet!

I know, I know. “Where the hell have you been, Aris?! It’s been TWO BLEEPING WEEKS!!”

I know, and I’m sorry. Okay? Now can we get that out of the way? I have so much to tell you guys!

Right, so remember the World Scholar’s Cup thing I talked about last time? You probably just brushed it past and had to go back and check (or not, if you’re lazy. Don’t worry, you don’t have to check.). Well, the Scholar’s Cup is this “educational” event which helps you “learn” “new” “things”. (Okay, I’m sorry. I don’t why I put the air quotes.)

Hello, people of the internet!

Even if you haven’t watched it, you’ve probably heard of BBC’s ‘Sherlock’. It took the internet by the storm, and has thousands of fans of its own. If you’re wondering whether you should watch it or not, here’s a quick review of the series which highlights the main points of the show, without any spoilers. (I’ll try not to be biased, because I love the show.) Continue reading “Sherlock Review (no spoilers)”

Books unwritten

Image result for too much homework tumblr

Hello, people of the internet!

And oh my lord, I underestimated 8th grade.

We’re getting double the amount of homework (“to prepare us for higher grades”, apparently. Ugh.) and the most complicated chapters ever (math was bad enough before, but now? And history? I DIDN’T ASK FOR THIS.)

But don’t worry, I didn’t write this post just to complain. I’m also doing a lot of extra-curricular stuff – our school is hosting the regional round of the World Scholar’s Cup in India; it’s this learning event with a bunch of things like debate, writing, etc. It sounds awesome, so Onyx and I have decided to participate in the competition. Only problem – it’s on 1st May, seventeen days from now – and we only found out today. So I need to a lot of research.

I’ll be posting a little less regularly now, but don’t worry – I still will. So for now, enjoy something I wrote for English homework (hey, I was running out of ideas! and time.)
